60 Years On- Celebrate the 60th Anniversary
Of
The 1951 Championship Side
The President and Executive of the Dunedin Rugby Football Club warmly invite members to attend the DRFC Clubrooms on Saturday 28th May to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of our 1951 senior team winning the Club Championship, the first time since 1908. The seven surviving members have been invited to attend. Come along and meet Bert Haig, Bill Lawrence, John Kennelly, Jack Skinner, Noel Mullins, Kinney Curran and Maurice Ryan.
The afternoon commences at the DRFC Clubrooms at 3:30pm (or 2:45pm if you wish to come and watch the full premier game) on Saturday 28th May .The programme of events is as follows:
3:30- 4:15pm Premier match on Number 1 ground (second half).
4:30pm Social hour with club members.
5:15pm Official welcome and speeches.
The next time that Dunedin was to win the championship after this team was in 1986, coached by the current chairman of the ORFU, Mr. Wayne Graham.

Dunedin RFC will host the New Zealand Marist Colts on Thursday 26th August. They will play a Dunedin Colts team(a combination of our champion Dunedin players and Academy players) at 3.30pm at Kettle Park. All Dunedin RFC supporters- please come along and support your team.
