A very warm invitation is extended to you to join the Dunedin Rugby Club as a playing member for 2010.

The club …

Fielded 3 Colts Grade sides in 2009 which finished 2nd and 4th in Section 1 and 1 st (unbeaten) in Section 2.
Players in the Colts teams came from 31 Secondary Schools throughout the country. Colts grade is under 20.Won the Ainge Shield presented by the Otago Rugby Union to the club with the best record in all grades

In 2009 won the Premier 1 Grade Championship

Has 5 rugby grounds with 2 floodlit for training.

The best Clubrooms in the city which include a lounge, kitchen, t.v., change rooms and all modern facilities.

Won the Premier 2 Grade in five of the last seven years

 Pre-season trials for all grades, followed by ‘pig-on-the-spit barbecues’.

Colts Sundays for all Colts team members; players, coaches and management.

The Premier I Team has contested the finals of the club championship four times in the last five years for two victories; the only club in the competition with such a record. For three of these five years, the Premier II grade side won their grade.

An excellent Social Programme for all teams. 
Produced several All Blacks in recent years including two Captains in Taine Randall and Paul Henderson, as well as Andrew Hore, Sam Harding and Craig Newby.
        Other players in the National Division I Championship who have played in our club include Charlie Hore, Jason McDonald, Chris King, Scott Cowan, John Willis, Daniel Bowden and Tii Paulo.        Two recent New Zealand Maori team members, Keith Cameron and Callum Bruce.        Featured in a full half hour documentary on TV1’s Local Heroes Rugby programme.        Was the club of the week in the Rugby News magazine issue of the 6th August; a two page article about the club, its history, traditions, standards and successes.  Ensures that every club side has a coach, an assistant coach, manager, physio and medic.

Provides transport to and from training and games for students requiring it.
